The HLRN alliance jointly operates a distributed supercomputer system hosted at the HLRN sites
Contributing to the very good general conditions for research in Germany, the HLRN systems represent state-of-the-art computer ressources. The HLRN is funded by the seven HLRN states and the federal ministry of education and research.
The present HLRN system is the HLRN-IV system, with its phase 1 installed in September 2018 and phase 2 installed in September 2019, comprises more than 200,000 compute cores with a total peak performance of about 16 GFlop/s.
